Zoom B2.1u on Linux

Zoom B2.1u works on Linux (Fedora)! No need to install drivers as the unit was detected automatically. Upon connecting the USB interface to my machine (Acer Aspire One), my B2.1u was detected:

Jul 7 16:37:17 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: input: Burr-Brown from TI USB Audio CODEC as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-2/2-2:1.3/input/input11
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.00 Device [Burr-Brown from TI USB Audio CODEC ] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: New USB device found, idVendor=08bb, idProduct=2904
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: Product: USB Audio CODEC
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usb 2-2: Manufacturer: Burr-Brown from TI
Jul 7 16:37:18 localhost kernel: usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio

I was able to record a simple clip using Audacity. To use the B2.1u as an input, go to View > Toolbars > Device Toolbar and set it similar to this:

Here is the sound clip. I used an SX Precision with Olympia flatwounds.

Uy sir! You were using the flatwounds? Hmm... They really have more bite and brightness compared to other flats! Ayus!

Ric, yep, I'm using Olympia flatwounds :) AFAIK, this is a hybrid (round core and flat wounding). Thanks for visiting my blog!
