Airsoft
Last Saturday night, I replaced some of the parts of my TM Steyr AUG A2. I acquired a tight bore barrel, new spring and o-ring for the piston head. The tight bore barrel is Mad Bull Black Python BP509 509mm (6.03 mm inner diameter). True to it's claim, grouping and range were improved. The PDI 260% spring added more power to my gun. And the o-ring sealed some airleaks. Come Sunday games, I was satisfied with the performance of my riffle.
Next upgrades would be the Guarder Infinite Torque-Up gear set and Half-teeth Polycarbonate Piston. Additionally, I'll have to procure a 9.6V NiMh battery set. Below is the picture of Mad Bull tight bore barrel (taken from their website).

Back to ASUS
After using my wife's Apple iBook for 2 weeks, I'm now back to using my ASUS A6B00R (Fedora Core 6). I will have to upgrade OS X to 10.4 before I can install some *nix apps. In my line of work, I need monitoring tools like Wireshark and EtherApe. But I love GarageBand, thinking of installing OSX on this ASUS notebook (hint: Project OSX86).

RTFM Qroon! I enjoyed the speed (70-100 KB/s) of the 'linksys' connection. I was able to download GIMPshop at Plastic Bugs. Then, engk! X11 is needed!
Leeching WIFI and Adium
Leeching on generic "linksys" connection somewhere here in Makati. And I'm now enjoying Adium. It is similar to Pidgin/GAIM and Trillian. More info tomorrow or when I'm not busy. Below is the result of the speed test:
