Search Engines

This may not be a news, but I stumbled upon two relatively new search sites; SearchMash and Clusty.

SearchMash is owned by Google. It is aimed to
"test innovative user interfaces." New algorithm and other functions are tested in SearchMash. In effect, this will be the new Google, as the innovations here will be rolled out in Google. The interface looks "modern" compared to Google.

The side panels present previews of Images, Blogs, Videos and Wikipedia search results. Users can also rate if the results were accurate or helpful.

Clusty is a metasearch engine from Vivismo. You may check out basic information from this Wikipedia Article or try doing some search at their site.

Happy searching!
