Picasa for Linux
Google 'ported' it's photo tool Picasa to Linux. 'Ported' because it relies on WINE, much like native Win32 apps running on Linux. Thing is, the link is not available outside the U.S., might as well use proxies like WebWarper. Here is the WebWarper link to Picasa for Linux download.

Get SeaMonkey
From the SeaMonkey Project Page
The SeaMonkey project is a community effort to deliver production-quality releases of code derived from the application formerly known as "Mozilla Application Suite". Whereas the main focus of the Mozilla Foundation is on Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird, our group of dedicated volunteers works to ensure that you can have "everything but the kitchen sink" — and have it stable enough for corporate use.

Smart BRO
So, Smart BRO (fixed wireless broadband) was already installed at my place. The connection is intermittent. It's fast when connection is available. Imagine a Nissan Sentra trekking the Pinatubo slopes. My gripes:
I'll test the connection further.

OSNews
Is it just me, or OSNews is kinda flaky these days? I'm getting a lot of that default error regarding their database.
